Store Manager - Full Time

Role Overview

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. They ensure the store is properly staffed, maintained, and compliant with company policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees, ensuring proper staffing levels.
• Lead performance management, conduct evaluations, and address gaps through coaching or disciplinary actions.
• Manage store opening and closing, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Analyze sales, profitability, and inventory data to identify business trends and control expenses.
• Ensure merchandise is presented according to company standards, managing stock levels and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory, control damages, markdowns, and cash handling procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and foster a safe, clean shopping environment.
• Adhere to policies related to security, safety, and store operations; complete required documentation accurately.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret manuals, diagrams, and safety instructions.
• Strong math skills for calculations and inventory management.
• Knowledge of cash handling, merchandising, and inventory practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with recruiting, hiring, counseling, and ensuring legal compliance.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Preferred: Bilingual Spanish speakers.

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Management experience in retail is advantageous.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Occasional climbing, driving, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Environment is fast-paced with moderate noise levels.
