About the role

Responsible for managing store operations, staff, and processes to ensure efficient functioning and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with labor laws.
  • Provide performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and handle employee development or disciplinary actions.
  • Manage store opening and closing, supervise inventory, ordering, stocking, and presentation of merchandise.
  • Analyze sales, profitability, and expenses to identify trends and control costs.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, enforce cash handling procedures, and ensure store security.
  • Deliver superior customer service, maintain a clean and safe environment, and ensure store tools and equipment are available.
  • Follow company policies, complete documentation accurately, and support safety and security policies.

Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures; perform basic math; and handle cash accurately.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety protocols.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience in retail management preferred, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual skills may be preferred at some locations.

Physical & Working Conditions

  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, and occasional climbing.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Adapt to a fast‑paced environment with moderate noise and outside weather exposure.
