About the role

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, merchandising, inventory control, and customer service. Ensures the store is properly staffed, maintains safety standards, and adheres to company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and motivate employees; make staffing and pay recommendations.
  • Open and close the store, manage daily operations, and ensure a clean, organized, and secure environment.
  • Analyze sales, profitability, and inventory data to identify business trends and control expenses.
  • Order merchandise to meet stock targets, oversee inventory accuracy, and manage presentation standards.
  • Control cash handling, cashier accountability, and facility security procedures.
  • Deliver superior customer service and foster a positive shopping experience.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, safety procedures, and legal requirements; complete all documentation accurately.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent recommended.
  • Experience in retail management preferred.
  • Ability to interpret documents, perform basic math, and operate cash registers and inventory systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 40‑55 pounds, stand and walk frequently, and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.

Skills

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Knowledge of retail practices, safety, and security policies.
  • Supports team development, fosters collaboration, and maintains customer focus.
  • May require bilingual skills; physically active with frequent movement and occasional outdoor exposure.
