Store Manager - Full Time

About the Role

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. Ensures the store is properly staffed, maintains accurate inventory, and oversees sales performance and expense control. Leads by example in opening, closing, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and federal and state labor laws. Provides leadership in recruiting, performance evaluations, and employee development.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address employee development needs.
• Manage merchandise presentation, inventory levels, and stock replenishment.
• Monitor financial and operational performance via reports, identifying trends and opportunities.
• Ensure store safety, security, and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming shopping environment.
• Oversee daily store opening and closing procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; management experience in retail advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, cash handling, and safety protocols.
• Ability to perform basic math and interpret operational documents.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, and perform manual tasks.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred at certain locations.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced with frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Occasional outside weather exposure and use of equipment like ladders and carts.
• Requires reliable transportation for store-related tasks.
