Store Manager Candidate

About the role

Supporting the Store Manager in implementing store processes, supervising staff, managing inventory, merchandising, and ensuring excellent customer service. The position serves as a developmental role for future Store Managers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing, and training employees.
• Participate in store merchandising, stocking, and presentation according to company standards.
• Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock accuracy.
• Ensure proper ordering to meet in-stock targets.
• Lead customer service initiatives and act as a role model for store policies.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities, safeguard funds, and uphold cash handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment.
• Operate store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to identify business trends and control expenses.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation timely.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret documents and perform mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory practices, and safety policies.
• Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred high school diploma and retail experience; bilingual skills may be advantageous.

Requirements

• Frequent standing, bending, lifting up to 40-55 pounds, occasional climbing and driving, in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise.
• Some travel required.
