About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in executing store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role serves as a development position for future Store Managers, with responsibilities focused on assisting with recruiting, stocking, inventory control, and maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting, staffing, and employee development.
• Support merchandising efforts by staging, stocking, and pricing merchandise according to store guidelines.
• Participate in inventory management, including damage control, markdowns, and stock audits.
• Ensure product availability by following proper ordering practices.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a role model for store policies and procedures.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and well‑stocked store environment.
• Assist in cash handling, cash register operations, and store security practices.
• Review sales and operational data to identify business trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support store opening and closing activities and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret documents, perform basic math, and handle cash procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory and merchandising practices, safety, and security policies.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Problem‑solving abilities and adaptability to varied situations.
• High school diploma preferred; retail experience is advantageous.
• Some locations may favor bilingual candidates.

Physical & Work Conditions

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Use of equipment such as scanners, carts, and ladders.
• Fast‑paced environment with exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Occasional travel for store visits and management activities.
