Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting in employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This position serves as a developmental role for future Store Managers, focusing on operational excellence and team leadership. Key Responsibilities Assist with recruiting, staffing, and training employees.Participate in merchandising, stocking, and presentation of merchandise according to store standards.Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock levels.Ensure product availability by following proper ordering practices.Lead customer service efforts and act as a role model in policy adherence.Contribute to store opening and closing activities, cash handling, and security procedures.Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment.Analyze sales and expense reports to identify business trends and opportunities.Complete required documentation promptly. Qualifications & Skills Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures.Strong mathematical and cash handling skills.Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and safety policies.Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Problem-solving ability in varied situations.Preferred: Bilingual Spanish skills and retail experience. Qualifications & Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Retail experience is advantageous. Physical & Working Conditions Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, occasional climbing and driving, in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise. Some travel with limited overnight stays may be required.
