About the role
The Staff Nurse PICU provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care with a focus on family-centered approaches.
- Delivering physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety support to patients of all ages and developmental stages.
- Performing leadership, professional duties, and patient-centered care tasks.
- Engaging in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
- Mentoring new staff, supporting collaboration among healthcare teams, and promoting exceptional customer service.
- Utilizing informatics and technology systems, and adapting to temporary assignments across the organization based on patient needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or must be obtained within 5 years.
- Current Ohio RN license and Basic Life Support certification.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with healthcare teams and familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records preferred.
- Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.
Schedule
This role is part-time, onsite, and involves night shifts, providing a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality pediatric nursing care.
