About the Role
Provide family-centered nursing care for pediatric patients of all ages, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety care. Lead professional nursing duties, support quality improvement and safety initiatives, and participate in staff education, precepting, mentoring, and evidence-based practice activities.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care for pediatric patients.
- Demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills in patient-centered care.
- Lead and perform professional nursing duties, including quality improvement and safety initiatives.
- Participate in staff education, precepting, mentoring, and evidence-based practice activities.
- Support collaborative team approaches for efficient operation and exceptional patient care.
- Utilize informatics and technology systems, including electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC).
- Adapt to temporary assignments across departments as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or in progress within 5 years.
- Current RN license in Ohio and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum one year of healthcare experience preferred; no supervisory experience required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Skills
- Experience in healthcare preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) is a plus.
Schedule
Full-time, onsite role working 36 hours per week, primarily days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
