Staff Development Coordinator - RN

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff development programs and conduct employee orientations.
• Act as personnel health nurse and maintain compliance with safety protocols through training on blood borne pathogens and hazard communication standards.
• Serve as primary instructor for Nurse Aide Training Program and promote participation in workshops and continuing education.
• Schedule and oversee in-house in-service training for staff.
• Assist nursing management with incident report reviews and act as charge nurse or supervisor during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Current RN license from an accredited school, with at least five years of nursing or education experience in long-term care.
• Ability to provide quality geriatric nursing care, supervise staff, and make clinical decisions.
• Yearly CPR certification and proficiency in teaching, instructing, and adhering to regulations and procedures.
