About the role
Supermicro Computer, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Sales Manager to expand our customer base in targeted areas. This role involves maintaining the quality, efficiency, and integrity of Supermicro's sales process through marketing activities and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and Programs.
Responsibilities
- Approach customers in Government, Data Centers/Cloud, Gaming, and HPC sectors.
- Conduct outbound cold calls to potential customers, including System Integrators, VARs, and OEMs.
- Qualify opportunities and create target lists for vertical markets.
- Develop and maintain relationships, communicating product and market information.
- Monitor inventory, negotiate prices, enter and monitor order start, facilitate credit issues, and negotiate returns.
- Build supervisory customer service relationships with prospects.
- Consistently achieve lead and quota targets.
- Produce necessary reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a similar field preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a server sales environment preferred.
- Passion for sales activities and ability to work positively under deadlines and constraints.
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed assigned goals in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills across multiple disciplines and cultures; demonstrated written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Experience tracking and reporting data on lead activity.
- Strong written and verbal skills in English; proficiency in a second language is a plus.
Pay
Salary range: $110,000 - $178,000. The salary offered will depend on factors such as location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for participation in bonus and equity award programs.
