About the Role
Newrez is seeking a Sr Sales Manager to lead, develop, and manage a team of mortgage loan originators in a high-volume call center environment. This role serves as a strategic thought leader, contributing to organizational improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and broader company initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Manage loan originator performance, motivation, scheduling, training, and policy adherence
- Conduct advanced coaching sessions, call reviews, and skill development workshops
- Set clear expectations around sales activities, client engagement, and conversion standards
- Drive a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, ethics, and excellence
- Review team and personal pipelines daily/weekly to ensure production targets are met
- Maintain personal loan production as assigned
- Ensure accurate forecasting, disciplined follow-up, and strong file quality
- Ensure all loan presentations, terms, and rates align with Newrez and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain full adherence to Newrez Code of Conduct
- Conduct periodic compliance audits and reinforce best practices
- Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally
- Coach loan originators on communication standards and expectation-setting
- Recruit, interview, and select high-quality mortgage loan originators
- Mentor developing talent and support succession planning
- Deliver structured onboarding and training sessions
- Partner with Operations to ensure production flow, quality, and efficiency
- Work with Regional leadership to support team and center-wide objectives
- Participate in corporate working groups and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- 6-8 years Loan Consultant experience
- Minimum 5 years in the mortgage industry
- Minimum 6 months in a Newrez management or senior leadership role
- Proven success mentoring, coaching, and elevating Mortgage Consultants
- Experience in call-center or high-volume phone/internet sales environments

Work Environment
- Working on-site at assigned office location
- Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership
- Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours
- Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment
- Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods
- Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls
- Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English
