Sr. Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager at SS&C will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery of intended business, client, operational, or technology outcomes. This role establishes the structure and processes needed to coordinate project activities and deliver the right solution at the right time, within defined scope, budget, resource, and operational constraints.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategy, business objectives, customer needs, and performance improvement opportunities into executable project plans.
• Coordinate project teams and stakeholders, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and driving accountability for commitments, decisions, deliverables, and outcomes.
• Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, resource constraints, and priority conflicts.
• Maintain alignment with approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations by monitoring project performance, evaluating variances, and taking appropriate corrective action.
• Provide clear and timely project reporting to stakeholders and senior leaders, including project health, accomplishments, risks, decisions, dependencies, and recommended actions.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and escalate decisions or obstacles when appropriate to maintain delivery momentum.
• Apply project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet or exceed business, customer, and stakeholder needs and expectations.
• Evaluate wide-ranging and complex delivery challenges, develop practical and creative solutions, and identify opportunities to improve project delivery practices, governance, and operational processes.

Requirements

• Minimally requires a Master's degree and 1 years of related experience, Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience, or high school degree and 5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Highly skilled in project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and practices.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

Pay

New York: The expected base salary for the position is between 145,000 USD to 160,000 USD.

Illinois: The expected base salary for the position is between 145,000 USD to 160,000 USD.
