About the role
The Senior Project Manager at SS&C will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery of intended business, client, operational, or technology outcomes. This role establishes the structure and processes needed to coordinate project activities and deliver the right solution at the right time, within defined scope, budget, resource, and operational constraints.
Responsibilities
- Translate strategy, business objectives, customer needs, and performance improvement opportunities into structured, executable project plans.
- Celebrate and drive accountability for commitments, decisions, deliverables, and outcomes.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, resource constraints, and priority conflicts.
- Maintain alignment with approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Provide clear and timely project reporting to stakeholders and senior leaders, including project health, accomplishments, risks, decisions, dependencies, and recommended actions.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment and escalate decisions or obstacles when appropriate to maintain delivery momentum.
- Apply project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet or exceed business, customer, and stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Evaluate wide-ranging and complex delivery challenges and develop practical, creative solutions.
- Identify and implement improvements to project delivery practices, governance, procedures, and operational processes.
Requirements
- Minimally requires a Master's degree and 1 years of related experience, Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience, or high school degree and 5 years of related experience.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing complex projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience with financial services and healthcare industries preferred.
Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
New York: The expected base salary for the position is between 145,000 USD to 160,000 USD.
Illinois: The expected base salary for the position is between 145,000 USD to 160,000 USD.
