Sr Mgr Analytics Consulting (Remote)
About the role
This position is responsible for planning, managing and controlling the activities of a team of analysts that provides business intelligence support for business segments. You will lead initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources, bring expertise or identify subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis. The role advises business by providing data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities, ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision, and selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and control the activities of a team of analysts providing business intelligence support.
- Lead initiatives to analyze complex business problems using data from internal and external sources.
- Identify subject matter experts and provide expertise for multi-functional efforts to produce data-driven recommendations and plans.
- Advise business segments by offering data-based strategic direction to address issues and opportunities.
- Ensure policies and procedures align with corporate vision.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to maintain efficient team operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Business Statistics, Accounting, or Finance OR 4 years of relevant experience.
- 7 years of experience interfacing with external clients, large employers, brokers, or consultants (excludes pharmacy roles).
- 7 years of experience interfacing with internal stakeholders and/or external clients (pharmacy roles only).
- 7 years of experience in data analysis and information reporting related to healthcare data.
- 4 years of leadership experience, including 2 years in a management position.
- Knowledge of healthcare benefits, terminology, concepts, and insurance economies.
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative standards, statistical measures, and concepts.
- Strong negotiation, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- PC proficiency in Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional designation such as Managed Healthcare Professional (MHP) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (C.E.B.S.).
- Experience in epidemiology, statistical, or biostatistical analysis.
- Experience with regression modeling, predictive analysis, risk assessment, or clinical program evaluation.
Pay
$121,200.00 - $225,200.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
