About the Role

The Material Program Manager (MPM) is responsible for managing Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) activities in the Naval Power Mission Area in support of the Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) production portfolio. This MPM will serve as the interface between Supply Chain and Program working on production contracts, focusing on supplier health and ensuring the supply chain meets contracted deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement material strategies and forecasting.
  • Ensure cost and schedule requirements are met.
  • Evaluate metrics to monitor GSCM health.
  • Conduct supplier assessments and support ROMs/proposals.
  • Drive processes to support an aggressive delivery schedule at increasing rates.
  • Increase operational efficiencies to ensure program success.
  • Operate independently while escalating issues as needed.
  • Process strategic and tactical tasks.
  • Influence team decisions and outcomes of other program leaders.
  • Work in a cross-functional team environment (quality, engineering, operations, etc.).
  • Manage multiple conflicting priorities with supplier managers.
  • Assess supplier health and capability to perform against contracted deliverables.
  • Extensive travel to Raytheon’s supply base and regular trips to Raytheon facilities (primarily Tucson).

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance).
  • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day one.
  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • EVMS certification.
  • Lead program management efforts, address issues, and resolve conflicts.
  • Financial experience, including supplier negotiations and cost reduction strategies.
  • Experience managing suppliers or projects.
  • Experience supporting supplier production readiness efforts or capacity assessments.
  • Proficiency in desktop computing tools (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project).

Pay

The salary range for this role is $132,400 – $251,600 USD.
