About the role

Full-time, on-site role based in Oklahoma City, OK. The Sr. IT Engineer designs, implements, and maintains core IT infrastructure to support SEF Energy and its subsidiaries. Responsibilities include managing servers, networks, and enterprise systems; monitoring performance and availability; and ensuring secure, reliable operations across multiple locations. The role serves as an escalation point for IT service requests, defines and enforces security standards, implements network security controls, and participates in disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors to evaluate new technologies, optimize systems, and support ongoing projects is a key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

• Manage servers, networks, and enterprise systems
• Monitor performance and availability of IT systems
• Ensure secure, reliable operations across multiple locations
• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshoot complex issues
• Serve as an escalation point for IT service requests
• Define and enforce security standards
• Implement network security controls (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, identity and access management)
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to evaluate new technologies and optimize systems
• Support ongoing IT projects

Requirements

• Strong Information Technology background with experience in infrastructure design, system administration, and enterprise IT environments
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and network issues, including root-cause analysis and long-term remediation
• Hands-on technical support experience providing Tier 2/Tier 3 support, managing service requests, and improving support processes
• Solid networking skills, including LAN/WAN configuration, routing, switching, and VPN technologies
• Working knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, identity and access management, and security best practices
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments, virtualization platforms, and cloud or hybrid infrastructure
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, Microsoft, or similar) are beneficial
• Ability to work on-site in Oklahoma City, OK
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
