About the role

The PC Technician: Senior Coordinator is an on-site IT position that provides and coordinates day-to-day support, maintenance, and assistance for all IT hardware and software at a Vail Resorts location. The Senior Coordinator supports and completes a variety of tasks, including providing end-user support for computer hardware and peripherals, assisting with procurement, creating and updating documentation/SOPs, assisting, training, and mentoring coworkers, and using a work ticket management system to track progress and document solutions.

The Senior Coordinator works as part of the IT team to proactively identify problems and facilitate solutions, repair hardware and software in a Windows Client/Server LAN environment, and support multiple point-of-sale systems in a manner that provides an Experience of a Lifetime for employees and guests. The role prioritizes safety and guest service while living the company’s core values to deliver excellent IT support.

The PC Tech Senior Coordinator has much in common with the PC Tech Coordinator but also comes to the position with IT experience; develops a working knowledge of Vail’s organizational structure; updates and/or creates SOPs; assists, trains, and mentors IT coworkers; and assists with procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and ensure personal, coworker, and guest safety in all aspects of your work. Adhere to company safety policies and procedures. Engage in company trainings and initiatives to support safety.
  • Develop and exercise competency supporting Vail Resorts internal applications and systems, addressing issues that can be resolved locally and escalating as appropriate.
  • Use the work ticket management system to manage total workflow for support tickets in alignment with company metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Mentor and share job knowledge with junior PC Techs.
  • Coordinate and support the relocation and re-installation of IT equipment in offices, outlets, special event sites, etc.
  • Provide exceptional guest service while supporting users and collaborating with coworkers, ensuring the Experience of a Lifetime.
  • Provide support for resort and remote-location sales points and peripherals.
  • Provide end-user support of IT-approved technology, including workstations, peripherals, printers, telephones, time clocks, etc.
  • Configure, track, maintain, and properly dispose of IT-approved technology, including workstations, point-of-sale systems, handheld devices, peripherals, etc.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation and SOPs, as assigned.
  • Strive for continual improvement and growth by actively participating in company and IT-specific training.
  • Suggest and implement new ideas and tactics for improving user support and the guest experience.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Vail Resorts IT organizational structure and processes.
  • Assist with procurement.
  • Follow and ensure that all users are following IT-related company procedures, guidelines, and policies.
  • Perform tasks with integrity by always doing the right thing.

Requirements

  • Positive, enthusiastic, and friendly.
  • Solution-oriented with a desire to learn new skills.
  • Familiar with technology support in an enterprise environment.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to move 50 lbs (with assistance if needed).
  • Should be able to work a schedule that can include weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level, or desire to learn.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Minimum age: at least 18 years of age.

Pay

The expected pay range is $22.09/hr - $25.99/hr. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
