About the Role
Our client, a leading global communications agency, is seeking an experienced Health PR professional to provide day-to-day support across multiple products within a major blood cancer portfolio. This role will partner closely with senior leadership and serve as a key bridge between leadership and junior team members, helping drive client communications, project management, and execution across several high-profile commercial and pipeline products. The team is currently lean, with a gap between senior and junior staff — this person will step in to manage the work downstream and keep projects moving during a period of client organizational change.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day communications across multiple healthcare/pharma product accounts
- Develop and execute strategic communications materials, including clinical data and milestone communications, press releases, messaging documents, thought leadership content, and executive talking points
- Support internal communications and newsletters
- Support major medical meetings and oncology congresses (upcoming in September and December)
- Provide guidance and oversight for social content, primarily LinkedIn and Instagram (strategic guidance and direction, not hands-on content creation)
- Review media and social monitoring reports, providing strategic feedback and recommendations
- Monitor real-time product milestones and ensure updates are buttoned up and client-ready
- Partner directly with clients, serving as a trusted day-to-day contact
- Collaborate closely with the VP to divide responsibilities and keep projects moving efficiently
- Mentor junior team members (AE/AAE level) while helping bridge the gap between leadership and account staff
- Manage timelines, priorities, and multiple workstreams in a fast-paced agency environment
- Provide onsite coverage/support during key medical congresses when senior leadership is traveling
Requirements
- 5-8 years of Health/Public Relations agency experience
- Strong experience supporting healthcare or pharmaceutical product communications
- Experience developing communications around clinical data, product milestones, press releases, executive communications, and strategic messaging
- Strong client management skills with the confidence to navigate demanding stakeholders
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality work
- Thick skin and strong client-facing presence
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology or hematology experience (e.g., multiple myeloma, leukemia, lymphoma, CAR-T, immunotherapy, targeted therapy)
- Experience supporting medical congresses (ASH, ASCO, EHA, etc.)
- Familiarity with commercial and pipeline product communications
- Experience using AI-enabled collaboration tools within Microsoft Teams or similar platforms
- Openness to converting to full-time hire
