Position Overview

Spiral Technician I at Sonoco Products Company in Robesonia, PA. Pay: $24.35/hr. Shift: 2nd shift (1:45pm – 10pm). Must be willing to work overtime when needed.

About the Role

Reporting to the shift supervisor, this position works in production for the tube and core division. Responsibilities include learning and assisting with machine setups, operating and troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, operating a cutter, and documenting production information.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with all required machine and support 17’’ winder equipment set ups.
• Operate, set up, and troubleshoot equipment as required.
• Ability to operate cutter.
• Perform machine preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment related to the carpet yarn line.
• Document and maintain machine log.
• Report and track production information - scrap, machine efficiency, machine down time, paper usage.
• Absorb and enter Oracle production orders and requirements.
• Aid other crew members as required - set ups, packaging aspects, quality requirements, and all other related production specs.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and communicate to management.
