Speech Therapist - Per Diem

About the Role

The Speech Therapist in Home Health assesses and evaluates patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. They develop and implement treatment plans, perform interventions to improve patient well-being, and monitor progress in a patient-centered, equitable care environment that supports professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services within legal scope and according to the plan of care, collaborating with the healthcare team
• Evaluate patient function using diagnostic tests and assist in developing therapy plans
• Treat patients to enhance effective communication based on individual conditions
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to supervising healthcare professionals
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on speech therapy techniques and participation

Requirements

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the relevant state
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation or access to public transit
