About the Role

The Speech Therapist in Home Health assesses and treats patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. They develop and implement treatment plans, perform interventions to improve patient well-being, and monitor progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services within legal scope and coordinate with the healthcare team
• Evaluate patient functionality and assist in developing therapy plans
• Treat patients to enhance effective communication based on their condition
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members in speech therapy techniques

Requirements

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the resident state
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, or access to public transit
