About the role

The Speech Therapist in Home Health assesses and evaluates patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services within legal scope of practice
• Conduct functional ability tests and evaluations
• Collaborate with healthcare team members
• Treat patients to improve communication abilities
• Monitor patient responses to therapy interventions
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in therapy techniques

Qualifications

• Licensure in Speech Therapy in the state of residence
• Current driver's license
• Vehicle insurance
• Access to reliable transportation

Preferred qualifications

• CPR certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days
