Speech Pathologist - Full-time, Day shift

About the role

Provides clinical evaluation and treatment of communication disorders, including speech, language, cognition, swallowing, voice, and oral-motor functions.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assessments and develops and implements individualized and group treatment plans.
• Provides education and training to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Communicates with healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Acts as a technical specialist, mentors staff, and models clinical skills.
• Ensures accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Establishes care and discharge plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Performs evaluations using appropriate techniques and tools.
• Delivers therapy interventions and monitors patient progress.
• Participates in departmental standards, projects, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional standards and ensures quality care delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology or related field (required).
• State licensure as a Speech Pathologist (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA CCC) (preferred).
• Experience in clinical settings (advantageous).
