About the role

The Scout Motors team is dedicated to revitalizing the iconic Scout brand, bringing it back to life with innovative electric and range-extender powertrains. This role is integral to the production process, ensuring that customer orders are managed efficiently from initial handover to final delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up and oversee the order after handover from Sales through manufacturing.
  • Keep tabs on material availability to ensure the order can enter production smoothly.
  • Monitor any changes in production or facilities that might affect the order's progress.
  • Handle orders, blocks, releases, and scraps as needed, and communicate these actions effectively.
  • Collaborate with Production Steering to manage orders and production plans.
  • Work closely with Production Control to implement recovery plans if necessary.
  • Track the timely delivery of orders and report any delays or issues.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on order management on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
  • Adhere to global reporting requirements for the team.
  • Support other requirements such as VDA/BMS as necessary.

Location & Travel Expectations

This role is based in Columbia, South Carolina, requiring 4-5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings and events are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business Administration, engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 4+ years of experience in order management or order fulfillment within the automotive industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in ERP and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to the organization.
  • Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not dependent on the candidate.
