About the role
The Intranet Content Specialist will support the development of the enterprise social intranet and Yammer community, focusing on online communications and engagement. This role is part of the Employee Engagement team, reporting to the Associate Director, Intranet Strategy.
Responsibilities
- Content Management/Web Support
- Develop and design web pages for the SharePoint Online Intranet platform.
- Create wireframes and assist users in building their presence.
- Design graphics for client pages, News, and Yammer posts.
- Support Community and department sites by adding content, managing document libraries, and organizing information for clarity and accessibility.
- Collaborate with the DigITs team to resolve technological issues and integrate new functional updates.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries.
- Community and Social Engagement
- Assist in developing and implementing innovative approaches to grow and engage communities across Yammer.
- Moderate activity and metrics for Yammer, reporting on campaigns, initiatives, and trends.
- Post, monitor, and track metrics for original Yammer content campaigns.
- Oversee the Site Editors community on Yammer, maintaining a distribution calendar and posting helpful content.
- Encourage Yammer usage by participating in conversations, sharing success stories, and generating enthusiasm.
- Stay informed about social media developments, emerging technologies, and communications best practices.
- Project Coordination
- Provide organizational, creative, and managerial support for long-term and ad-hoc projects, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and escalate issues as needed.
- Manage and coordinate meetings among stakeholders.
- Training
- Develop and deliver training programs, tutorial videos, and usage guides.
- Maintain and refine the Help & Feedback site to keep training materials current.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with SharePoint Online or an equivalent intranet/content management system.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
- Experience with web analytics and presenting complex information creatively.
- Ability to act as a proxy for the Intranet Manager when needed.
- Design ability and website development experience.
- Knowledge of web design, web development, and basic HTML.
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Understanding of social networking best practices.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting data.
- Design experience and interest in employee engagement, social media, and online marketing.
- Positive attitude, detail-oriented, customer-focused, with strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Video development, social media, and customer service experience.
