Specialist, Finance & Administration - Payroll (New Orleans, LA)
Overview
The Finance & Administration Specialist will prepare and compile payroll data for submission to the General Office Payroll Department, conduct daily, weekly, and monthly SAP-related transactions, and support administrative and customer service processes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Audit and review commissions, bonuses, time records, and other relevant payroll documents to ensure integrity and accuracy
- Compile and review payroll data such as hours worked, commissions, bonuses, vacations, and sick pay from the time clock and other records; address discrepancies and update data as needed
- Support efficient and effective processes associated with administration and customer service in a plant environment
- Support the Finance team with efficient and effective associated SAP-related transaction processing in the functional areas of finance, administration, and customer service
- Schedule, prepare and manage data collection studies to support administrative and customer service process improvements
- Maintain and update documentation that job-related the Administrative, Financial, and Customer Service teams and keep accurate records of all changes
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly SAP transactions as instructed
- Provide reports and on as-needed (ad hoc) basis for meetings and reviews
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in SAP
Physical Demands
- Significant time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
- Occasional activity or condition may include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20 lbs
