About the Role

The Specialist Campus PEIMS & Enrollment performs advanced campus-level assignments related to student information, focusing on students, attendance, enrollment, PEIMS reporting, and data quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Work with central administration SIS department and campus-level administration to ensure attendance data and PEIMS reportable data meet requirements set by Board, District, State, and Federal policies.
  • Assist in collecting and reviewing data required for PEIMS and student attendance.
  • Manage and ensure the accuracy of the Daily Attendance Percentage Report.
  • Assist assigned and feeder campus personnel with data accuracy reporting for local/state validation reports.
  • Provide campus administration with weekly reports regarding data accuracy.
  • Assist assigned and feeder campus attendance personnel with meeting requirements outlined in the Student Attendance Accounting Handbook, Chapters 25 and 37.
  • Assist with reconciliation of First Day, 1st Six Weeks, and 4th Six Weeks enrollment.
  • Support campus Data Verification process, including Six Weeks Attendance and PEIMS submissions and collections.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with principals, teachers, students, school personnel, and parents.
  • Report PEIMS-related data inequities to administrators via weekly or biweekly Data Integrity Team (DIT) meetings.
  • Ensure assigned and feeder campuses submit required data verifications and reconciliation documentation on time.
  • Oversee and assist campus personnel with PEIMS, enrollment, and student attendance error corrections using district-approved software (e.g., Elevate Data Quality, OnDataSuite).
  • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding enrollment, student attendance, truancy, and course credit issues via phone and in-person.
  • Support campus processes by conducting mandated Data Integrity Team (DIT) meetings to discuss data discrepancies.
  • Assist campus attendance personnel with proper storage of reports, records, attendance notes, and documentation for District audit.
  • Work with out-of-district personnel (e.g., CPS and probation officers) to verify attendance and prevent truancy.
  • Assist in identifying students with excessive absences, tardiness, and potential denial of course credit.
  • Help identify attendance tier students and complete documentation for truancy filing.
  • Assist with manual and online attendance rosters as needed.
  • Communicate and meet with students regarding attendance and truancy prevention measures.
  • Monitor student attendance coding, including unverified absences.
  • Assist with district audits related to enrollment, leavers, and student attendance.
  • Support campus enrollment personnel with registration, enrollment process, and documentation review/verification.
  • Assist with POA and Dual renewal processes.
  • Serve on the Summer Enrollment Team, if applicable.
  • Present information to campus personnel regarding changes in State or District standards.
  • Attend regularly scheduled PEIMS/Enrollment/Attendance team meetings, biweekly, semester, and summer training, and District meetings.
  • Follow FBISD Attendance Manual guidelines for daily, weekly, six weeks, and semester attendance-taking protocols.
  • Follow FBISD Enrollment Manual guidelines for student enrollment, ensuring required documentation is met.
  • Attend district trainings and professional development to support HS Data Entry Clerks, registration, and attendance personnel.
  • Assist other campuses with data irregularities to ensure overall accountability and success.
  • Lead meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Ensure support and professional staff are prepared for PEIMS, Enrollment, and Attendance duties.
  • Participate in district and campus School Attendance Committee meetings.
  • Support feeder pattern school staff conducting PEIMS, Enrollment, and Attendance duties.
  • Respond to community and campus inquiries regarding PEIMS, Enrollment, and Attendance.
  • Assist campus personnel with state/federal audit documentation requests.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 60 college hours preferred.
  • Texas Association of School Business Officials Certification (TASBO) or evidence of courses towards TASBO certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in school-based, campus, clerical, attendance, registration, enrollment, and/or PEIMS reporting data.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a school registrar, school data entry clerk, school attendance clerk, or other school-based data-enriched position.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with Skyward (SIS) preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of PEIMS Data Standards and Student Attendance Accounting Handbook.
  • Working knowledge of Student Information Systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing, Excel spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Proficient in general office skills such as data entry and filing.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed in classrooms, offices, work stations, and meeting rooms. The position requires occasional walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/carrying items weighing less than 40 pounds. The employee must regularly use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Attendance at conferences and professional development is required. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts, requiring normal safety precautions. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must maintain emotional control under stress.

Travel from campus to campus within the district will be required.
