SPAM Museum Visitor Guide - Part Time
About the role
As a Visitor Guide (SPAMbassador) at the SPAM Museum in Austin, MN, you will interact with visitors, assist with interactive displays, provide information about SPAM and Hormel Foods, and answer visitor questions. You will also maintain the museum's appearance during public hours and may be required to work evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Set up and open the SPAM Museum for visitors.
- Greet visitors to the Museum.
- Answer questions posed by visitors.
- Prepare samples for visitors.
- Perform minimal cleaning and straightening.
- Provide minor first aid in emergency situations.
- Work on a variety of Museum-related projects.
- Give 30-45 minute tours of the museum.
- Close the SPAM Museum.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring employer sponsorship for a work visa now or in the future.
Schedule
The SPAM Museum is open 7 days a week, including some holidays and evenings. Typical museum hours are Monday-Saturday 9 AM-5 PM and Sunday 10 AM-4 PM. Events outside of typical museum hours may also be required. Shifts range from 4 to 6 hours during typical museum hours.
Pay
The base hiring pay range for this part-time role is between $12.00 and $16.75 per hour, depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
