Spa Manager

Aqua Sana Forest Spa is an award-winning spa offering a combination of experiences, products and treatments across Center Parcs locations. Each spa is uniquely designed, featuring up to 25 spa experience rooms and an extensive range of face and body treatments delivered by expert therapists using premium brands such as Elemis, Comfort Zone, and VOYA.

About the role

Working closely with the Village Director, Director of Spa, and Group Spa Manager, you will identify and implement strategies to drive revenue, enhance guest satisfaction, and respond to seasonal and business demands while maintaining the highest standards of service. This role involves managing financial budgets and profit and loss accounts, with a focus on sales performance, capacity management, therapist utilisation, retail performance, promotional activities, payroll, and operating costs.

Reporting to the Village Director, you will collaborate with divisional leads, the Aqua Sana Forest Spa management team, and key stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the spa and the delivery of an exceptional guest experience. You will oversee the end-to-end guest journey, ensuring the team delivers excellent service while adhering to brand standards and health and safety guidelines. Additionally, you will manage the Vitalé Café Bar restaurant, maintaining high standards of service and dining experience.

Leading a motivated and high-performing team is central to this role. With your management team, you will handle recruitment, training, and development to equip the team for outstanding service that encourages repeat bookings, referrals, and guest loyalty. This is a newly created position to support business growth and enhanced guest experience aspirations, suited for Spa Directors, Spa General Managers, or those managing extensive Leisure/Health Club operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of Aqua Sana Forest Spa and delivery of exceptional guest experiences
• Manage the end-to-end guest journey, adhering to brand standards and health and safety guidelines
• Oversee the Vitalé Café Bar restaurant, ensuring high service and dining standards
• Lead, recruit, train, and develop a large team to deliver outstanding service
• Collaborate with divisional leads and key stakeholders

Requirements

Essential

• Commercially astute with proven financial management skills
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent time management and ability to use initiative
• Strong people management skills and ability to motivate a large team
• Significant management experience within the leisure/hospitality industry
• Experience with budgetary controls
• Experience managing a large team (50+ members)
• Good general standard of education
• Outgoing nature and enjoyment of working with people
• Confidence and experience in guest service
• Strong eye for detail and high standards

Desirable

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Experience with computerised booking systems
• Beauty Therapy Level 2 or 3 Qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience leading and managing a food and beverage operation
• Good network of external Spa industry contacts

Schedule

Contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. The village operates 365 days a year, so working hours will include public/bank holidays and Christmas/New Year on a rota basis.

Pay

£65,000 per annum plus an 18% bonus scheme.
