SOCIAL WORKER OR HUMAN SERVICES PROFESSIONAL III & IV-CORRECTIONS & INTAKE SVC CTR - OAHU (WIKIWIKI)

About the role

The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is seeking Social Workers and Human Services Professionals at various levels to support their operations at Correctional Facilities and Intake Service Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment of needs and develop and implement service plans, including direct services.
• Monitor, evaluate, and adjust service plans to ensure clients can function effectively within their environments.
• Work with diverse clients across various settings such as hospitals, social service agencies, schools, and correctional facilities.
• Utilize professional concepts, principles, and techniques to assist individuals and families in finding satisfactory ways to cope with their conditions.
• For Social Worker III positions, function as fully independent workers handling complex cases and assuming full authority.
• For Social Worker IV positions, work with clients whose needs are difficult to define or obtain appropriate services for, requiring close supervision.

Requirements

• Legal Authorization to Work: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Education:
  • Master of Social Work degree for Social Worker III positions.
  • Ph.D. in Social Work for Social Worker IV positions.
• Specialized Experience:
  • One year for Social Worker III positions.
  • Two and one-half years for Social Worker IV positions.
• Substitutions: Relevant work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Other Requirements: Drug screening and background check required; valid driver's license may be required depending on the position.

Qualifications

Skills

Knowledge of professional social work and human services principles, skills in assessing and addressing client needs, and ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse populations.

Pay

$5,107 to $6,221 per month for Social Worker III positions, and $5,527 to $6,728 per month for Social Worker IV positions.
