SOCIAL WORKER OR HUMAN SERVICES PROFESSIONAL III - HAWAII YOUTH CORRECTIONAL FACILITY - KAILUA, OAHU

About the role

The position is located in the Department of Human Services, Office of Youth Services, Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility. The Social Worker or Human Services Professional III is responsible for planning, managing, and developing counseling, treatment, and case management services for adjudicated law violators committed to the HYCF by the family courts. They will also manage a caseload of juveniles under the jurisdiction of HYCF or Family Court.

Responsibilities

• Helping individuals and their families find satisfactory ways of identifying their problems, coping with their conditions, and functioning effectively within their environments.
• Planning, managing, and developing for counseling, treatment, and case management services for adjudicated law violators committed to the HYCF by the family courts.
• Managing a caseload of juveniles under the jurisdiction of HYCF or Family Court for the provision of services.

Requirements

• Legal Authorization to Work
• Minimum Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or a comparable degree with relevant experience.
• Specialized Experience: One year for Bachelor of Social Work degree, no Specialized Experience required for Master of Social Work degree, and no Specialized Experience required for Ph.D. in Social Work.
• Relevant Substitutions: Up to one and one-half years of Specialized Experience for Human Services Professional.
• Other Requirements: Drug screening, PREA compliance, and driver's license as required.

Benefits

Salary range: $5,107 to $6,221 per month (SR-20, Step D to I). Hiring rates based on availability of funds, qualifications, and other relevant factors. Continuous recruitment may be closed at any time.
