SOCIAL WORKER OR HUMAN SERVICES PROFESSIONAL III & IV-CORRECTIONS & INTAKE SVC CTR-KAUAI (WIKIWIKI)

About the role

The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is recruiting for Social Worker or Human Services Professional III and IV positions at the Kauai Community Correctional Center and Kauai Intake Service Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide the full range of core human services work such as assessment of needs; development and implementation of service plans, which may include direct services; and monitoring, evaluating and making adjustments to service plans.
• Work with diverse types of people in various settings including hospitals, social service agencies, schools, correctional facilities, and programs concerning substance abuse, aging, and family violence.
• Utilize a variety of helping interventions to enable clients to function effectively within their environments.
• Function as fully independent workers or as those who do not function at the fully independent worker level, depending on the case complexity and client needs.

Requirements

• Legal Authorization to Work: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work or a comparable degree with a minimum of 12 semester credit hours in related fields for Social Worker positions; a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a minimum of 12 semester credit hours in related fields for Human Services Professional positions.
• Specialized Experience: One year for Social Worker III and IV; two years for Social Worker IV; one and one-half years for Human Services Professional III and IV.
• Substitutions: Relevant substitutions allowed based on experience.

Pay

$5,107 to $6,221 per month (SR-20, Step D to I) for Social Worker III; $5,527 to $6,728 per month (SR-22, Step D to I) for Social Worker IV.
