About the Role
The Social Media Specialist supports the execution of social media strategies and content initiatives across assigned brands and platforms to increase brand awareness, audience engagement, and business results. This role manages day-to-day social media activities, including content creation, publishing, community management, performance reporting, and campaign support. Working under moderate supervision, this position will handle multiple projects and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of social media content and strategies across assigned brands and platforms to drive brand awareness, audience engagement, and business objectives.
- Create, schedule, publish, and manage social media content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other emerging channels.
- Maintain social media content calendars and collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate content needs.
- Work with the reputation management team to escalate customer service or reputation issues as needed.
- Assist in developing social content, including copywriting, creative asset coordination, and platform-specific recommendations.
- Track and report on key social media performance metrics such as engagement, reach, impressions, follower growth, and referral traffic.
- Identify opportunities to optimize content performance based on analytics, audience behaviors, and platform best practices.
- Support influencer and creator partnerships by coordinating content deliverables, tracking campaign results, and maintaining relationships.
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, emerging technologies, and competitive activities, providing recommendations to improve performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support campaign execution and ensure content aligns with brand standards.
- Assist in implementing social media best practices, processes, and governance guidelines to ensure consistency across channels.
- Maintain an organized library of social media assets, content, and performance reports in conjunction with the Insights Team.
- Support special projects, marketing campaigns, and enterprise initiatives through social media activation and content promotion.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-4 years of experience managing or supporting social media marketing programs for a brand, agency, or corporate environment.
- Experience creating, scheduling, and publishing content across multiple social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the homebuilding, real estate, consumer products, hospitality, or lifestyle industries.
- Experience supporting influencer marketing or creator partnerships.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of social media platforms, trends, platform algorithms, and digital marketing best practices.
- Strong written communication, copywriting, and proofreading skills.
- Skill in content planning, scheduling, and social media campaign execution.
- Ability to analyze social media metrics and translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Skill in community management and audience engagement across social media platforms.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, emerging technologies, and evolving social media trends.
- Proficiency with social media management, reporting, and content creation tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand standards and content quality.
Working Conditions
- General office environment with occasional visits to community, model home, corporate, or event locations to support content creation and social media initiatives.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours to support events, campaign launches, or time-sensitive social media activities.
- Limited travel for content creation, training, meetings, or company events.

Pay
Base Salary: $71,000–80,000 (FLSA Status: Exempt). Year-end discretionary bonus.
