Role Overview

The Social Media Specialist supports day-to-day social media activation, publishing, community engagement, and performance optimization for a large enterprise brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day social media activation, including publishing, scheduling, and coordinating content across owned and paid channels.
  • Maintain and operationalize global content calendars aligned to enterprise priorities, campaigns, and always-on content needs.
  • Format and optimize content for platform-specific best practices, audience expectations, and channel requirements.
  • Partner with integrated marketing, content, and campaign teams to deploy social content at scale.
  • Ensure publishing workflows are accurate, timely, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Partner with moderation and support teams to monitor comments, messages, mentions, and interactions across social platforms.
  • Support timely, brand-aligned responses to audience engagement.
  • Escalate sensitive, complex, or high-priority inquiries to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Identify engagement trends, audience sentiment, and recurring themes to inform content improvements.
  • Help ensure a consistent and thoughtful brand presence across social communities.
  • Track and report on key social performance metrics, including engagement, reach, click-through rate, audience growth, and other relevant KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize content formats, posting cadence, messaging, and channel execution.
  • Support both organic and paid social execution in partnership with internal teams and agency partners.
  • Contribute to test-and-learn initiatives to improve effectiveness across social platforms.
  • Use performance insights to make recommendations for ongoing content and channel improvements.
  • Support the development of an enterprise social media playbook by translating strategy into actionable frameworks, processes, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Provide execution-based insights and performance learnings to help inform content strategy, channel roles, and optimization approaches.
  • Help establish scalable guidelines and processes that enable consistency across global teams.
  • Document learnings, workflows, and best practices to support ongoing social media governance.
  • Partner with integrated marketing, external communications, investor relations, regional teams, agencies, and external partners to ensure aligned and efficient social activation.
  • Coordinate with agency partners on content deployment, optimization, reporting, and executional needs.
  • Support governance, consistency, and quality control across enterprise social media channels.
  • Manage multiple priorities and workflows while maintaining strong communication and follow-through.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in social media execution, community management, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience managing social publishing, scheduling, engagement, and daily activation workflows.
  • Experience supporting enterprise, corporate, or global brands preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media management, publishing, and analytics tools.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt to brand voice and platform expectations.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with experience interpreting social media performance data.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with social media publishing platforms such as Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of both organic and paid social media execution.
  • Experience working with agency partners or external vendors.
  • Familiarity with social media governance, moderation workflows, and escalation processes.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed, enterprise environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of social platform best practices, brand voice, community engagement, and content operations.
