Job Purpose
Hawaiian Telcom is seeking a dynamic, outgoing individual to join our Business Field Sales team. This role focuses on providing local businesses with the connectivity they need to grow.
Essential Functions
- Conduct in-person, field-based sales outreach to businesses within assigned territories.
- Meet or exceed sales, service, and productivity targets.
- Present and promote business fiber internet, voice, and managed services to small and midsize businesses.
- Absorb each business's needs and recommend the most effective connectivity and communication solutions from our full portfolio.
- Maintain a deep understanding of all Hawaiian Telcom business products, services, bundles, and new offerings.
- Stay current on all promotional offers, service availability, and assigned territory/business segments.
- Understand internal systems used to qualify and support business customers.
- Maintain detailed customer documentation, follow-up, and pipeline updates.
- Demonstrate strong application of all training provided, including product knowledge and sales skills.
Education and Experience
- Four years of High School or equivalent
- Relevant Work Experience: 0 to 2 years in related field
- Door-to-door or in-person prospecting experience is a plus.
- Business-to-business (B2B), field sales, or outside sales preferred.

- Excellent listening skills and business-focused communication skills.
- Ability to understand a broad range of products, services, procedures, and systems.
- Strong consultative selling abilities, including needs assessment and solution-focused problem solving.
- Ability to think strategically when presenting solutions to business customers.

- Field-based outreach to qualified business leads.
- Evening or weekend work may be required based on business availability.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Relevant business, sales, or technical coursework preferred.
