Site Manager I, MEP
Responsibilities
Aid the MEP Project Manager in identifying and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Contribute to the creation of scopes of work for review and approval by the MEP Project Manager.
Create and manage the MEP project schedule within the overall construction timeline.
Prepare estimates for MEP self-performed work and assist in the preparation of complete project estimates.
Assist in coordinating and managing all trades throughout the construction process.
Select qualified bidders and negotiate final prices for contracts.
Prepare and maintain various reports such as cost to complete, monthly billings, and status reports.
Review and coordinate all drawings, including P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural, etc., and ensure a current set is always available.
Assist in pricing work, drafting changes and change orders for review by the MEP Project Manager.
Ensure customer satisfaction with the project by assisting in coordination and management of on-site construction activities.
Schedule work, including subcontractors, and track productivity and quantities of installed work.
Determine materials, equipment, and tools needed and secure appropriate supply sources.
Set up and close out construction sites.
Act as the on-site Safety Officer when not specifically assigned to the project.
Participate in the company’s safety portion of the Quality Management System (QMS) program.
Manage procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to align with work schedules.
Communicate and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors regarding planning, execution of work procedures, interpretation of specifications, and coordination of various construction phases to prevent delays.
Resolve complaints and grievances within the workforce through consultation with supervisory personnel.
Prepare or review reports on progress, materials used, and costs, and adjust work schedules as necessary based on reports and direction from the MEP Project Manager.
Evaluate and enforce high safety and quality standards in accordance with company, industry standards, and job specifications.
Generate reports and traceability for continuous improvement and communicate the company’s safety program to the team.
Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience, or a minimum of fifteen (15) years of related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree.
Experience within the light/heavy industrial sector is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents.
Strong people management skills.
Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), tablets, and smartphones.
Knowledge of MS Project and other scheduling software is a plus.
The ability to think independently and manage tasks without constant supervision.

Must be able to lift and move up to 100 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently.
