About the role

Bilfinger is an international industrial services provider with a vision to be the No. 1 for its customers in enhancing efficiency and sustainability within the process industry. The Site Leader oversees total construction effort at the site to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with client representatives, engineering representatives, field craft supervisors, subcontractors, union officials, etc. in a manner that supports best value performance and builds a good relationship
  • Ensure the work performed at their location meets the standards outlined in the Company’s Business Principles and Code of Ethics
  • Manage and supervise construction site safety and actively participate in the site safety program
  • Develop and support craft employee motivation programs and implement incident prevention programs
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy
  • Manage and supervise project construction and field engineering activities
  • Manage and interface with other contractors at the site and establish and foster the Company’s public relations image
  • Initiate long-range organizational plans and schedules and know and enforce Company personnel policies
  • Develop and maintain project staff level, evaluate staff performances and review salaries
  • Budget, predict and control indirect accounts and monitor labor resources
  • Review subcontract bidders list, bid letters, approve award of subcontracts and review completed subcontracts
  • Manage financial aspects of projects and contracts to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client
  • Supervise project close-out and represent the Company and site at internal and external meetings

Requirements

  • 2 year Associates of Construction Management or 4 year Engineering degree or related Construction degree
  • 10 - 15 years equivalent industrial facility construction management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of the construction industry and company operations required
  • Project Scheduling or Cost Management is a plus
