Showroom Sales

Position Summary/Objective

Granite City Electric is seeking a customer service-oriented Showroom Salesperson for their Pawtucket, RI location. The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, motivated, and familiar with lighting and decorative trends while embracing GCE standards and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Ensure each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer-friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, and possessing solid product knowledge.
• Familiarize themselves with and continue to learn new lighting and home fashion trends, utilizing this knowledge to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
• Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise in the showroom to promote sales.
• Comply with all GCE policies and procedures.
• Be available to work varied hours and days to meet retail operation requirements (evenings and weekends).
• Perform general upkeep, cleanliness, and appearance of facilities.
• Contribute to other projects and duties as assigned.

• Able to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds.
• Must demonstrate reliability by arriving to work on time and taking breaks in expected time frames.
• Adaptable, flexible, and willing to change and adjust with business conditions.
• Coachable and actively participates in the coaching process.

Education And Experience

• A high school diploma.
• Prior lighting/showroom sales experience preferred.
• ALA Certification is preferred.
• A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
