Shop Foreman

About the role

Milo Live is a premier design and manufacturing company specializing in live fire Modular Containerized Small Arms Training Sets (MCSATS® /RR), modular shooting ranges, brick and mortar ranges, shooting range equipment, and HVAC supply. With experience in over 180 modular shooting range systems and 600+ brick and mortar ranges, Milo Live offers in-house HVAC services alongside extensive expertise in metal fabrication, HVAC design, and installation.

The Shop Foreman oversees operations in a 90,000 square-foot facility with a growing team of 40-50 employees, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire new shop employees.
• Provide employee training and create/manage employee schedules.
• Oversee daily work activities, enforce company standards, and address performance issues (warnings, discipline, or termination).
• Greet customers, process work orders, and enter job information into the computer database.
• Maintain work records, assign duties, and review completed work for quality assurance.
• Assist in repair, construction, maintenance, and other tasks related to client work orders.
• Enforce health and safety policies, conduct safety meetings, and ensure a clean, hazard-free shop environment.
• Address and resolve customer issues or complaints.
• Inspect, clean, and repair shop equipment and machinery as needed.
• Order supplies and operate shop machinery (e.g., forklifts, manufacturing equipment).
• Read and interpret plans, set goals, and manage time effectively.
• Ensure Leads plan and schedule teams to meet company goals and project delivery dates.
• Support the Production Supervisor and Production Manager in achieving customer delivery goals.
• Respond to on-site health or safety emergencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Warehouse, factory, or shop experience required.
• Managerial or supervisory experience required.
• Technical experience in welding, sheet metal, fabrication, or electrical (minimum 4 years or Journeyman level).

Schedule
