Job Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee the disassembly, inspection, and repair of pumps to ensure quality and efficiency
- Supervise daily operations within the machine shop, ensuring productivity and adherence to schedules
- Maintain and manage work orders, service reports, and operational documentation
- Oversee purchasing activities, including creating and processing purchase orders (POs)
- Manage the ordering of materials and parts to support ongoing operations
- Cookdaily scheduling of shop activities in support of overall operations
- Track all materials entering and leaving the shop to ensure accountability and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards and procedures within the machine shop
- Conduct and oversee quality checks to maintain high standards of workmanship
- Collaborate with operations and management to improve workflow, efficiency, and performance
Job Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Machine Shop Foreman or similar role
- 3+ years of using a manual lathe and vertical mill
- Technical college degree or relevant Trade School certifications
- Extensive Knowledge of Vertical Turbine Short Set (Booster Pumps), Deep Set and Submersible Well Pumps
- Lift 40lbs
- Operate Forklift and Overhead crane
- Proficient with typical Microsoft programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and capable of learning and utilizing all programs used by the business.
