Foreman
Work Location: US.VA.Emporia.101 Industrial Dr – on-site role within the Site Access Operations - Field Support division.
About the role
Responsible for leading and indirectly supervising a crew in the safe and efficient installation, removal, and maintenance of access matting at customer job sites. Ensures work is completed according to company standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. Acts as the primary on-site leader, coordinating daily tasks, managing equipment and materials, and communicating with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders when the Superintendent is not on site to ensure successful project execution. Primary operator of heavy equipment for the installation and removal of mats.
Responsibilities
- Works with the superintendent to help coordinate day-to-day oversight of the project site.
- Assists in setting workflow priorities and time frames for work completion.
- Guides and manages crew at project site location in lieu of Superintendent.
- Primary heavy equipment operator for the crew to install and remove matting.
- Guides compliance with company policies and safety standards.
- Capable of managing small, simple jobs alone as a working supervisor when needed.
- Navigates customers' needs with a positive attitude and represents the Company in a service-oriented and courteous manner.
- Adheres to all safety and quality procedures.
- Works a flexible schedule and/or holidays; attendance, punctuality, and timeliness are mandatory.
- Assists with installing and removing fabric and mats, including cleaning and repair of mats as required.
- Handles special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 4 years’ experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or construction environment.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (skid steer, front loader, etc.) required.
