Shipping Receiving Coordinator - Sidney, NE

Key Responsibilities

• Schedules and dispatches delivery staff to maximize resource utilization and meet customer needs.
• May personally deliver product to customers.
• Provides service to walk-in customers.
• Receives telephone orders from customers and Sales Representatives.
• Prepares product mix instruction sheets, Material Safety Data Sheets, and work orders.
• Makes product purchase recommendations to Supervisor/Market Manager to ensure adequate inventory.
• Ensures appropriate receipt and recordkeeping of unit inventory.
• Performs physical inventory counts.
• Performs miscellaneous duties such as filing and other clerical tasks, calculating product amounts, calibrating equipment, loading trucks, general equipment and plant maintenance, product storage activities, bending and warehouse work, etc.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s license
• Commercial Class A Driver's License (CDL) desired, but not required
• Must be able to maintain maintenance records for equipment
• Must be able to take on dispatching duties when necessary
• Must be able to lift 50lbs multiple times throughout the day
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
• Must be willing and able to work Ag Industry hours, which may include: early morning, late evening, weekends, holidays as seasonal needs demand
• Must have mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Must be organized
• Must be able to use the computer and multi-task effectively

Skills & Relevant Experience

• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training
• Prior experience in the agriculture industry preferred
• Dispatching/Logistics experience highly preferred
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Inventory experience a plus
• Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation preferred
• Chemical and Seed knowledge highly preferred
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Possesses good interpersonal skills
