About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to support daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant handling of incoming and outgoing shipments while maintaining organized inventory and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with work instructions and customer requirements
- Verify and process shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, and purchase orders
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage or discrepancies, and distribute materials appropriately
- Report and resolve issues such as shortages, damaged goods, or non-conformance
- Utilize SAP and carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, etc.) to manage shipping and receiving transactions
- Ensure all shipping and receiving paperwork is complete and accurate
- Auxiliary tasks include assisting with unpacking and repacking specialized materials (e.g., germanium, GASIR)
- Maintain organization and proper identification of shipping/receiving and storage areas
- Perform cycle counts and monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies
- Ensure shipping and receiving equipment is in good working condition
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Previous shipping/receiving or warehouse experience is preferred
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus
- A strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is necessary
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software are beneficial
- Frequent (50% of workday) standing and walking throughout facility, navigating warehouse and dock areas safely
- The ability to lift, push, pull, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds is required

- Executes assigned tasks in SC & P Operations following standard operating procedures and safety/quality requirements
- Maintains accuracy and completeness of records, documentation, and transactions in line with controls
- Recognizes issues or inconsistencies and supports the continuous improvement of work procedures and instructions
- Supports colleagues and responds to stakeholder requests in a timely, professional manner
- Maintains accurate documentation and records in line with policies and procedures
- Escalates issues, risks, and deviations promptly to supervisor and follows through on corrective actions
