About the role
The Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Leadership Team on the sales floor, ensuring high levels of customer engagement, and driving sales.
Responsibilities
- Supports Store Management in generating sales potential by being present on the sales floor and setting a positive tone.
- Holds store keys to open and close the store without management as necessary.
- Manages rest and meal break schedules and ensures coverage across all zones.
- Escalates performance concerns to the Store Manager.
- Motivates and inspires associates to build brand loyalty and maintain a positive store environment.
- Assists with store security, including bag checks and fitting room monitoring.
- Processes return/exchange transactions, authorizes promotional discounts, and handles employee sales in the absence of a manager.
- Ensures compliance with all LP policies and represents the company professionally.
- Completes the Shift Supervisor three-month training program.
Requirements
- Able to lift large and heavy packages and boxes rapidly and constantly.
- Able to reach overhead, bend, kneel, and carry product for customer service, inventory re-stock, processing shipments, and store merchandising.
- Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to safely lift 50 lbs. without restrictions.
- Able to perform repetitive motions such as hanging, folding, ringing up customers.
- Able to use caution when dealing with difficult customers, houseless, and transients.
- Able to perform store maintenance tasks like sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning.
- Able to use and climb ladders and/or step stools.
- Able to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
- Able to commit to two store closings per week, including one being Friday or Saturday.
- Proficient in using the company's retail POS system and inventory scanner.
- Able to make change using American monetary units.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of key holder experience in a retail setting preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Completion of the Shift Supervisor three-month training program.
