About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience on every visit. They provide leadership to the crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high levels of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers perform various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards, managing safety and security, and communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and quality standards across all areas of the restaurant.
- Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and internal communication guidelines.
- Manage inventory levels and perform daily maintenance tasks.
- Train and supervise staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to facilitate smooth handovers.
- Meet and exceed performance targets set by the franchisee.
- Support the achievement of departmental goals and overall restaurant objectives.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage a diverse team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- At least 18 years of age to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
