About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee safety and security measures.
• Communicate effectively with the next shift manager to prepare for their responsibilities.
• Meet and exceed targets set for their shifts.
• Support departments in achieving their goals.
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Ensure exceptional customer service.
• Manage crew effectively.
• Lead in food safety practices.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A flexible schedule and the ability to adapt to the demands of the job.
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager in a corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Skills

Effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential. Familiarity with McDonald’s systems and procedures is beneficial but not mandatory.
