About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience on every visit. They provide leadership to the crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor shifts to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards and policies.
• Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift.
• Meet and exceed targets set for the shift.
• Support Department goals by assisting in meeting targets.
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Ensure food safety protocols are followed.
• Handle internal communications and customer service issues.
• Manage crew schedules and conduct training sessions.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job.
• At least 18 years old to qualify as a manager in a corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a strong understanding of McDonald’s standards and procedures, as well as the ability to manage a team effectively. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Skills

Effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills are beneficial.

Pay

Schedule

Shifts are typically 7 hours long and occur Monday through Saturday. Specific schedules are determined by the franchisee and may vary based on operational needs.
