ServiceNow Developer

This position combines hands-on ServiceNow development with business process analysis, systems evaluation, process improvement, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and solutions
• Create ServiceNow catalog items, workflows, and automations using Flow Designer and business rules
• Develop web-based functionality using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Analyze customer needs and business processes and translate them into functional and technical requirements
• Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements or corrective actions
• Identify process gaps, capability shortfalls, and opportunities for automation and optimization
• Support project/task management, customer engagement, and stakeholder outreach
• Support IT system lifecycle activities, including review boards, change management, and release management
• Develop technical documentation, feature release descriptions, process models, and knowledge management artifacts
• Collaborate with technical teams and customers throughout solution design, development, testing, and deployment

Requirements

• Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
• Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• ServiceNow development experience, advanced software development experience, or experience with low-code platforms and the ability to develop ServiceNow expertise
• Experience creating catalog items and using ServiceNow Flow Designer and business rules
• Experience with business process analysis and translating business needs into technical requirements
• Experience with systems evaluation and performance improvement
• Experience with process and capability improvement
• Experience with program/project task management and customer engagement
• Experience with IT lifecycle, change, and release management
• Experience developing technical and knowledge management documentation

Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or completion of applicable certification training
• Experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF)
• Experience with ServiceNow application suites, including IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Business Management (ITBM)
• Experience developing ServiceNow dashboards and using Performance Analytics
• Experience with ServiceNow project management applications
• Experience supporting IT service providers within secure government environments
• Experience advising stakeholders on organizational processes, practices, and policies
• Experience with modern cloud architectures and cloud-based environments
