ServiceNow Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to build and maintain solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications. The role focuses on hands-on configuration and development — including workflows, Flow Designer, scripting, integrations, UI customization, and platform extensions — while applying best practices that keep the platform clean, upgrade-safe, and performant. The ideal candidate has shipped meaningful ServiceNow work in production, balances declarative and programmatic approaches thoughtfully, and writes maintainable code that survives upgrades and team turnover.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications
• Design and implement workflows, Flow Designer flows, and scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies)
• Build and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers
• Customize UI and develop Service Portal widgets
• Apply best practices to ensure platform cleanliness, upgrade safety, and performance
• Troubleshoot and optimize ServiceNow solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Five or more years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
• Strong JavaScript skills including ES5/ES6 patterns used in ServiceNow
• Deep expertise with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies
• Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub
• Hands-on integration experience using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers
• Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model and CMDB concepts
• Experience with Service Portal widget development
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• Certified Implementation Specialist credentials (ITSM, HR, CSM, ITOM)
• Experience with Now Assist or GenAI Controller
• Familiarity with App Engine Studio
• Exposure to multi-instance ServiceNow environments

Pay

$100,000–$120,000 Annually

Full-time, Direct W2

Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
